Moka Efti started their journey through musical worlds
in 1989. For his composition »The Suite« (1992) Leander Reininghaus
needed and found musicians open to stylistic experiments. First came Jochen
Vogel, winner of the Prix O'Carolan for composition (1989) and the Trophée
Improvisation (1992) at the Recontres Internationales de Harpe Celtique
in Dinan in Brittany.
Hannsjörg Scheid is a bass player and composer versatile in a wide
variety of styles in which he immerses himself. His musical professionalism
provides the underpinning for Moka Efti's expeditions into new realms
of sound.
The wildest member of the band is Michael Wack. His large collection of
African and South American percussion instruments and his powerful and
dynamic way of playing will make you feel like dancing. Ralf Göldner
is one of the most sought-after drummers and percussionists in both a
studio and concert context.
